(As a bonus I'm also running the Cosmos DB emulator) I'm a Mac user and this is my current setup allowing me to use Azure Storage Emulator running on VirtualBox with a Windows VM in it.
However I have a solution for you, if you really need it, on a non Windows machine that allows you to dev locally. I'm hoping that table emulation will come around sooner rather than later.
